  Under the Global Support Delivery (GSD) organization unit, working as a Global Support Manager, for one of the North American shift team. • North America Shift Team is focusing on the time zone coverage of the North American region as a part of the 24*7 operation of the GSD organization unit. • Main Responsibilities, Resource planning for optimum support services. Make decisions to handle escalations, acceleration and prioritizing urgent requests. Follow-up backlog and support requests. Engage in the discussions related to new process implementations. Deliver and drive new processes within the organization. Handle all the line management activities for all the team members including performance reviews. Show less There were two main responsivities that I had to deliver as a lead software engineer in the GSD organization unit, • As a Customer Support Team Lead – North America Shift Team, Provide leadership and direction for members. Assist the team members with work prioritization and case resolution. Act as a main escalation point within the team. Lead the team to deliver quality support service. Assist the team members to achieve the operational targets. De-escalate customer situations while directly involved in the discussions.• As a Technical support consultant – Focusing on Manufacturing, Engineering and Project and Supply Chain Management product areas, Advise the customer as a trusted technical consultant. Do complex and critical trouble shootings to identify IFS application core defects. Deliver quality solutions in critical and escalated situations. Provide quick local fixes and data repair scripts to urgent requests. Mentoring and coaching software engineers. Show less Worked in two different organization units during this period. The main responsibilities,1. Under the Scandinavian Development team, Implement customizations according to the customer specifications. Understand the customer business requirement to deliver quality solutions. Implement Configuration and integrations. Upgrading customizations to the new versions of IFS Applications. Mentoring and coaching new software engineers As a role of Software Lead of the centralized upgrade team which handled all the customization upgrade projects for the region and outside. Provide time estimation for the upcoming customization upgrade projects. plan resources for the upgrade projects. Drive the members to deliver the project within the estimated time while maintaining the quality. Assist the team members which include dedicated resources and partner resources. Take responsibility for the customization upgrade part of the project.2. Under the GSD organization unit, As a Technical Support Consultant – Focusing on Manufacturing Engineering and Project and Supply Chain Management product areas. Understand the customer issues and do troubleshooting to identify IFS application core defects. Deliver quality solutions. Provide local fixes and data repair scripts. Mentoring and coaching new software engineers. Also got the chance to act as the Shift leader for the North America shift. Show less • Under the Scandinavian Development team of the Development Services organization unit, Learn and understand the IFS technical basics (Base Server, Centura, C# application form development, IFS report designer and IFS integration and configuration). Upgrade customizations to newer IFS application versions (Ex – Centura to C# application forms). Implement customization with following technologies, Centura IFS APF(C#) PlSql IFS report designer IFS web development (Java) IFS integration and configuration development (J2EE, Java). Show less
