  Head Guard

  As a head lifeguard at the Kingsport Aquatic Center, I was responsible for lifeguards and other staff that worked on the deck. In the case of an emergency, I had been through extra training to respond and manage a scene, and be able to fill out all the necessary paperwork correctly. Along with this position, I made sure things on deck ran smoothly. I made sure lifeguards were rotating properly and facilities were remaining clean.

  Bays Mountain Planetarium

  Planetarium Assistant

  At this position, I did public showing as well as other public programs using telescopes and speaking to the public. While I was an assistant, Bays Mountain Park and Planetarium hosted an international conference, Stars for All, in June of 2023. We had 300 people from all around the globe get to visit our facilities and with a small department, the assistants played a quite large role in engaging with people as well as leading them around.
