  I joined Ove Arup & Partners Ireland in 1989 after completion of a Diploma in Geo-Surveying working in the site development section of the Civil Engineering group. By 1998 I had risen to the level Senior Engineering Technician in the Dublin Office. In 1998 I transfer to the Arup Johannesburg Office of the South African Practice, working in the infrastructure division. While working in the infrastructure group my responsibilities included engineering design, tendering of projects and site supervision. To gain valuable site experience I became the fulltime resident engineer on Robben Island between March 2001 and May 2002. Overseeing extensive road and infrastructure upgrades, including the construction of a waste handling facility. In addition to the infrastructure work I gained valuable experience in rail projects and hydraulic studiesI returned to university part-time, completing an honours degree in Transportation Planning in 2004. I joined the transport planning group in 2004. During my time in the transport planning group I was involved in preparing a large number of traffic impact studies for commercial, residential, retail and mixed use developments throughout Johannesburg. The studies range from Traffic Impact Statements to full Traffic Impact Studies. In many of these projects I was the lead transport engineer on the project or working as part of the team. Show less

  Since May 2018 I have been working for myself providing traffic and transport engineering service to town planners, private developers, architects and other consulting engineers.During this time I have provided traffic and transport engineering for MPAMOT.Since August 2023 I have been provide engineering services to Experts on the Go, based in Johannesburg, acting as the head of the engineering section and overseeing a number of road design projects.
