      Acting CTO of the TSS SWS (Technology Support Services - Software Services) (SWS) organization - DACH, I'm reporting directly to TSS SWS DACH Director and are an active part of the TSS SWS leadership team.In this role I'm having a high focus on business development of new/future SWS business areas; especially the development of the Open Source SW support business, establishment of Cognitive & Analytic technologies as part of the IBM TSS business and the development of technical talents for the organization. As SWS organization technical advisor, I'm setting and developing the future strategic direction for the entire team. I'm helping and driving the management and technical team to bring the right focus and technical expertise on IBM strategic imperatives to shape the future business of IBM TSS and help our IBM TSS clients to explorer and use new support technologies.I'm helping IBM TSS client to drive their IT transformation by enabling the usage of state of the art technology for their business. Show less Currently, I'm switching role and already starting my new role as Technical Leader for the TSS OSS support business in the DACH region. To ensure a best possible takeover of my previous role I'm starting my new role in parallel to my old position. For a temporary time frame of 6 month I'll continue to have full responsibility as described before but already taking over my new leadership roll for the Open Source Support growth play. Today, OSS is the hot topic and starts to gain footprint in our clients IT delivery but how "will this be/can this be" supported for "real" production business? IBM Technology Support Service (TSS) not only limited to provide superior and enhanced service for our own products. We can act for our clients as integrated Multi Vendor Support Service (MVSS) provider including the Open Source Software (OSS) stack. Using IBM TSS as support provider for OSS will enable our clients to utilize OSS in similar fashion like normal SW but enable the flexibility, speed and low cost approach of community maintained and developed SW packages. In a technical leadership role I'm assigned to drive this enhanced services approach for our clients in the DACH (D= Deutschland (Germany) , A = Austria, CH = Switzerland) region building the bridge between our clients, our sellers, our IBM delivery team and our strategic partners. Show less I continued my role as Lead IT Architect - DPE (Delivery Project Executive) and Service Manager for an IBM internal DC operation which is servicing IBM's global support workforce across the globe.Mainz Campus was closed by IBM business decision. My operation was relocated from Mainz to Kelsterbach due to delivery excellence, cost efficiency and business criticality. 2015 I developed the architectural approach and executed the end-to-end project torelocate the entire DC operation from Mainz to Kelsterbach with almost zero outagetolerance. At the final move time frame Nov, 2015 till June, 2016 I managed together with my highly engaged team to move the entire IT operation w/o any impact to the service we are providing to the IBM global support organization. Show less In this role I worked as Delivery Project Executive (DPE) & Service Manager for the IBMTechnology Support Services (TSS) IT Center with full scope to all delivered services bythe TSS IT Center. This IT Center operation had a team of 29 direct reporting and a extendedGlobal Resource (GR) nearshore team of 25 reporting team members.Second, I worked as Senior IT Architect for this department having a technical advisorrole for the IT delivery operation. In this role I was the designated Lead Architect for a globalSupport Backbone application which was continuously enhanced by annual projectphases.This double position role was primarily defined by following tasks:- act as substitute for TSS IT Center Management- represent the department on local and global level up to senior management level- act as lead architect for an global IBM strategic technical support core backbone solution (ECuRep)- perform full operations management of the department- active project management for projects executed by the department- technical leader for the team and strategic projects- acquisition of new service to be delivered by IT Center- architecture of new IT Infrastructure solutions- design of new IT Service solutions- optimization of available resources and solutions- cost and resource balance - full responsibility for operational balance of the IT centerDuring this period of time I continued to constantly improve the ECuRep solution to provide the full set of functions for the IBM global support team to receive, store/manage and diagnose problems with IBM HW or SW products. This includes direct integration of support diagnostic environments and tools as well full automation/integration into IBM problem ticket management systems. Improvement and management this service is a key element of my role as it's a highly crucial service for the IBM global support organization which is resulting in significant improvement to the end-to-end IBM support workflow. A strategic solution to receive and store client diagnostic data via network instead of physical media transport.
