  Project: EPC W1 Mineral – Antamina (Scope: erection of a new crushing unit)• Leaded the elaboration of accurate estimates of resources needed for each phase of a project in collaboration with team members. It was a 24-month EPC project with a budget of 113 million USD, and included several disciplines: earthworks, civil works and electromechanical assembly.• Avoided a 4% decrease in margin by making Senior Management realize about the critical cost issues of the project so that corrective actions could be taken. This was possible by the appropriate application of project cost analysis, forecasting, and tracking of expenditure.• Developed risk models to identify potential cost overruns before they occur using Monte Carlo Simulation. Project was at 21% completion and needed a revised estimation of cost to sincere the real margin.• Promoted the use of best practices related to cost management processes and procedures, based on PMI and AACE guidelines.
