  o 16 week placement (Externship) completed as component of masters of clinical psychology degree. Placement was in the allied health psychology team.o I provided individual therapy for renal and oncology outpatients. Therapy provided lasted approx. 6-10 sessions.o I completed suicide risk assessments frequently with both inpatients and outpatients.o I provided brief individual therapy for inpatients on acute medical wards. These were often single session assessments and brief intervention.o Primary therapeutic approaches I utilised in this placement involved cognitive behavioural and acceptance and commitments therapies with a focus on emotions and/or existential concepts.o I effectively communicated with multiple allied health and medical disciplines in coordination of patient care, and worked effectively within the allied health psychology team, evidenced by positive verbal feedback.o The role was adult focused, and as such I engaged with patients primarily aged between 18 up to 85+.
