Managed Blood Bank; performed autologous blood collections, diagnostic services, crossmatched blood, maintained NYSDOH, FDA, CAP and AABB accreditations, emergency preparedness, primary hospital to support the 1980 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid, NY.

  I maintained cell lines, performed ELISA's, and histology preparations for research projects. I assisted the Safety Officer for six months in which the Chemical Hygiene Plan and the Biosafety manual were produced. I was a member of the Institutional Biosafety Committee as well as a member of the spill mitigation team. I assisted with the maintenance of the occupational health program.

  I manage the Biological Safety Program at the University of Massachusetts - Amherst. I am responsible for compliance with state and federal regulations. I perform safety training, risk assessments and scientific protocol reviews.
