      As an RA for the MSUB summer program I performed a wide variety of duties. My single most important job was to help facilitate a positive, safe and meaningful educational experience to a group of 40-53 High School students.

      Lab tech: center for integrated marine technology

      My primary duties in the Marinovic lab at UCSC involved the collection and sorting of marine invertebrates, Pacific Krill was the major focus during my time in the lab. Collection was done with a Tucker trawl setup on near shore trips, with Bango nets being used on pelagic cruises. I was also responsible for the maintenance and repair of collection equipment, as well as the construction of one new set of nets.

      My duties at Moss Landings clean lab consisted primarily of preparing sample containers and fish dissection. Sample containers were meticulously cleaned with strong acids to remove all trace metals and organic compounds. Other duties included collection of fish, water, sediment and tissue samples.
