  I undertook a two month contract with Tube Lines Ltd during the gap between my 1st and 2nd year at Brunel University. My role within Tube Lines Ltd was a laptop and mobile phone auditor. Here I worked under pressure to carry out the audits of mobile phones and laptops to strict deadlines. It was also the first time I had been involved in formal meetings, where I learnt how to professionally conduct myself in meetings.

  This was my year in industry from university. At Yell Plc I was Infrastructure Analyst for Yell IS. This job involved me managing Problems and Changes within the business. I was responsible for making sure procedures were followed, Service Level Agreements and Operational Level Agreements were met. I was given the opportunity to improve current procedures and design and implement new procedures where required within the Remedy System in use. I was given the opportunity to volunteer for Comic Relief and work on the phone lines where donations were processed. Show less

  This gave me an opportunity to understand the workings of a small/medium business and gain a good understanding of business processes. I worked in Bizzy Studios department of this business. This role involved me collating all business payments and reconciling them at the end of each working day. This role involved me collating customer details and deposits for photographic and filming services. I assisted customers to purchase a package which best suited their needs. Customers include children whom are part of BizzyKidz and BabyShak agencies, which are both owned under Bizzy Agencies and client shoots, which can include any clients of Bizzy Agencies and anybody else looking for photographic or filming premises.   This role has given me the opportunity to work in a reputable marketing company enabling me to gain an understanding of the world of marketing. I worked within the Database Management team which consisted of me and my manager. I looked after the data management and validation; database management and creation; campaign analysis and reporting as well as working with a number of email servers and database languages such as SQL and Google analytics. I have worked with monthly campaigns with consisted from 100 to 1,000,000 contacts as well as the management of these contacts. My communication skills were vital for me to succeed in this position. This role involved me being organised and a good team player in order to arrange and manage campaigns. A high level of Excel, Access, SQL and MySQL skills were required to successfully fulfil this position. Show less
