Maintained unique user-ID with administrative authorities assigned by the Defense finance and accounting service-IN Information security Office. Ensured each user access was limited to only that required to perform assigned duties. Briefed users on all security protocols and reported any violations accordingly. Conducted scheduled system audits to maintain system integrity. Advised unit commander and coordinated with higher headquarters to ensure computer and communications security within the unit. Provided desktop computer support which included diagnosing and resolving any workstation operating system software, application software or hardware problems; provided user instruction for any workstation operating system software or standard application software; setup and configured standard workstation operating system software, all authorized standard application software, and all related services and authorized application software. Deployed to Afghanistan from May 2007-August 2008 with 208th Finance Battalion in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Performed duties and responsibilities as Information management Officer and Terminal Area security officer. Developed a program for the EagleCash card resulting in over eight hundred cards issued in local area. Maintained over five hundred thousand dollars of electronic equipment. Primarily operated out of Camp Phoenix, Kabul. Provided Information management and terminal area operational support and guidance to other locations conducting Army finance operations such as Camp Black Horse, Camp Eggers, Forward operating base Ghazni, and Forward Operating base Salerno. Established Finance automation and extended financial operations at Forward Operating Base Sharana in the Sharana district of Afghanistan. Technically provided financial pay support to over 10,000 service members within designated area of operation. Processed combat, non-combat pay and a multitude of contracts to make sure the soldiers and supporting civilians were provided the financial resources they needed to accomplish their respective missions.
