  As a young poet myself I felt the need to establish a welcoming, vibrant event that catered to young, yup and coming, new writers. Camden's famous Roundhouse Theatre were fantastic in enabling the event to happen and thankfully we were able to keep the show running for over a year. As founder of the show my responsibilities included liaising with artists and the venue, promotion, booking artists, hosting, communicating with audience members (thankfully all positive) and mentoring young people.

  Micro-fellow

  As part of WPP's micro-fellowship, I spent three fast paced weeks in the summer of 2009 at Mindshare, Ogilvy and Added Value as well as participating in a group project with the other micro-fellows. The experience I gained over the course of the fellowship was invaluable. I learnt a lot about the advertising and marketing industry and was able to hear from respected individuals such as Jon Steel and Rory Sutherland.The following year I was lucky enough to be able to participate in the program for a second year, this time working at the WPP agencies Digit and Grey.
