      -Managed a caseload of 5-9 clients/day with orthopedic diagnoses such as carpal tunnel syndrome/release, trigger finger/release, De Quervain's, Dupuytren's/post-surgery, TFCC tears, postoperative/distal radial fractures, cubital tunnel syndrome/release, finger fractures, tendon lacerations/repairs, osteo/arthritis, amputations, burns and overuse conditions-Completed evaluations, administered and interpreted assessments consisting of QuickDASH, range of motion using a goniometer, manual muscle testing with grip and pinch dynamometer, dexterity testing with Purdue Pegboard Test, Box and Blocks, Nine-Hole Peg Test, Minnesota Manual Dexterity Test and sensory testing using two-point discrimination and tactile recognition -Patient care consisted of manual therapy using soft tissue mobilization, scar tissue mobilization, joint mobilization, distraction techniques and manual stretching, therapeutic exercises to address range of motion, strengthening and activity tolerance, and modalities such as hot packs, icing, ultrasound, fluidotherapy and kinesiotaping and orthosis fabrications such as volar and dorsal thumb spicas, resting hand splints, wrist cockups, and finger splints; all of these techniques were utilized to improve functional independence required for daily occupations-Created client-centered treatment plans and home exercise program based on deficits and current level of function with appropriate guidance and upgrade or downgrades, as needed Show less
