As a degree project I developed a capacity model for the LTE (4G) access network. This model was developed in MATLAB, programming the physical layer of LTE technology according to the 3GPP release 8 standard. In addition, the model was validated in the laboratories of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the University of Chile, sponsored at that time by the Asian infrastructure provider ZTE on the 2600 [MHz](B7) band.

This measurement system is independent of the access technology used and is centralized in an external database in the cloud in order to make the calculations to obtain information independent of the limited resources of the devices. The measurement system was validated by comparing the data obtained against a professional measurement device in the Santiago area, both in indoor and outdoor coverage. Show less
