  As a PYP grade 5 teacher at a Texas public school, I balanced state curriculum and expectations with PYP philosophy and pedagogy. I ran after school classes, headed up drama integration for the school’s classroom teachers, and took the lead for teaching exhibition on the Grade 5 team.

  As the PYP Theatre Teacher, I created and taught inquiry-based curriculum to the entire elementary school (approx. 900 students). I balanced state standards requirements and PYP requirements while building Theatre units. I oversaw and directed five productions per year and two after school clubs.
