      Designed, promoted and ran four well-attended training sessions on NGO management, with 95% positive feedback.Managed two International Development Conferences, with 350 participants. Both were heavily oversubscribed. Managed interns and volunteers on a variety of projects. Oversaw financial and administrative management of the Centre, including managing programme budgets and dealing with daily finances.

      Provided administrative and fundraising support to Project Harar, a small charity providing medical care in Ethiopia. As sole employee focused on fundraising, I researched and wrote funding proposals to private donors, trusts, and institutional donors. Income increased 65% during my time there.

      One year programme, supported by 15 British NGOs and funded by DFID, to build capacity in humanitarian operational management using intensive training, coaching and field experience. Comprises two placements:September 2011 – March 2012 Roving Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator for Save the Children UK’s emergency response in Ethiopia.Supported multi-million pound projects by developing monitoring plans, designing tools, delivering training, and conducting monitoring visits. Managed team of 3 M&E Coordinators to provide qualitative and quantitative information on our programmes, based on HAP, Sphere Standards, and sector-specific guidelines. March 2011 – September 2011 (PT) London, UKProvided administrative support to the Humanitarian team. Worked with different stakeholders to design, budget, and secure funding for a research project into humanitarian work in developed countries, worth over 200,000 pounds. Show less

      Member of senior management team at Enterprise Partners, a £40 million DFID-funded privatesector development programme in Ethiopia. Recruited and managed a six person monitoring team. Supported the team to design and conduct surveys, analyse data, and ensure that data is used for management decision making and reporting. Developed dashboards, value for money reports, quarterly output reports, and led on annual reviews, logframe design and finalisation. Took on management of gender and green growth advisors, integrated into monitoring team andsupported the development of relevant interventions. Received 96% in audit of monitoring system against the DCED Standard, and the MRM system was praised as “comprehensive and robust”, and “steadfastly committed to transparency and openness” in the latest Annual Review. Early assignments have included support to two market systems development projects in Ethiopia, a review of a value chain project in Uganda, and an urban poverty study in Timor Leste.DevLearn has designed, marketed, and delivered online training course on results measurement using the DCED Standard.
