  I joined the collections team at the museum on a six month secondment. My main project was the large exhibition 'Game Changers: 125 Years of the Football League'. I established relationships with each of the 72 Football League clubs, facilitating the loan of objects that best represented the history of that team. I also worked with the Northern League and the Durham Amateur Football Trust to install a small exhibition about the history of the league. Working with ardent fans provided some challenges, but was very enjoyable. As a part of this, I also worked with artist, Stuart Roy Clarke, to curate a small display of photographs in the museum.Whilst working with the Collections Team, I helped to reduce the collections backlog, and became more confident and knowledgeable working with the Modes database.   As Assistant Curator at Manchester United Museum, I take responsibility of the museum's large and varied collection, developing policies and procedures to ensure that we are working to best practice. I am an experienced user of the Modes Collections Management System, and regularly train other staff and volunteers.I lead on the creation of exhibitions and displays, working on all aspects of exhibition planning, including researching and writing interpretation, the creation of design briefs, choosing objects and arranging high profile loans. I also liaise with external companies, such as designers, photo licensing agencies and bespoke mount makers. In 2020, I used this knowledge to create an online exhibition, United Kit: Revisited which helped to keep our visitors engaged throughout the Covid-19 Pandemic and which included a digitised collection, long form articles, video content and a hub for supporters.I am trained in the collection of Oral History interviews. Since 2021, I have been collecting the stories of women who supported Manchester United in the latter half of the 20th century in order to assess what is seen as the 'female fan experience' and increase diversity within the collection.In 2019, I led a team to the creation of reminiscence sessions for vulnerable adults.   As Secretary of the Board of Trustees at Bakewell Old House, I use my organisational skills to arrange and minute board meetings, as well as strengthening links bewteen the museum and sector bodies.I am working with the Museum Manager and other trustees to diversify the Museum's income streams, and find new ways to engage our audiences.
