  Assisted the UKRI Living Deltas Research Hub's project in generating multi-proxy records from lake sediment cores collected in India, with the aim to reconstruct anthropogenic impacts on lake ecosystems. I used various laboratory techniques, data analysis, interpretation, and visualisation and showcased the research outcomes at the UKRI Living Deltas Annual Meeting in Dhaka, discussing the importance of sustainable research on the Asian mega deltas.Whist in Bangladesh, I also assisted in water quality research and fieldwork in Bangladesh. This allowed me to develop practical skills in data collection, analysis, and enhanced my understanding of water quality in relation to the interactions between lakes and ponds with the ecosystem and services they provide. Show less Successfully led an expedition of two undergraduate students to Svalbard, to conduct geographical research on the response of glaciers to climate change. Completed tasks from liaising with in-country contacts to planning the trip and managing a budget to a high standard. Developed strong written communication skills during the grant writing process, raising over £8000 in funding. As part of the post-expedidion process, I have developed skills in report writing and public speaking. At the Newcastle University Climate Scholarship public lecture, I presented our current conclusions and take home messages from our expedition. Show less
