Working predominantly with industrial and First Nations clients, I conduct or provide third party review of environmental assessments, permitting applications, and closure planning, primarily in the mining sector. My areas of expertise include human health and ecological risk assessment; environmental effects assessment for aquatic, terrestrial or human receptors; developing and implementing selenium management plans; permit applications under the BC Environmental Management Act; and risk assessment to support closure planning. I've worked on projects throughout Canada and in South America, with emphasis on metal and ion toxicity to aquatic organisms and humans, bioaccumulative metals (selenium and mercury), and food chain modeling.
