  Contribute to analysis and design of a multipurpose three story steel building. The building elements consist of a metal deck, second and primary beams and columns. The first level of the building is for warehouse space, and the second and third levels are for office space purpose. Determine the dead weight of the structure and use of space using the International Building Code 2009 (IBC 2009) to design the elements (the beams where verified for moment, shear and deflection). The elements were designed using the Manual American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC). Determine the reactions for the columns and design them using the Manual American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) (the columns where verified for axial load). Determine the lateral forces of wind and earthquake using the Minimum Design Loads for Buildings and Other Structures (ASCE 7-10) and perform a buckling and collapse load analysis to determine is the predetermine elements are adequate for the structure using SAP2000.
