      Project: Network Startup at Brazil's Northeast (GSM & UMTS)This work involved among other things, managing the planning, execution and control, integrating internal and contracted teams of the project to deploy an entire GSM/UMTS mobile network from zero in a region of 636 thousands KM² covering 6 states in the northeast of Brazil and serving a 33 Milion population in a record time of 10 months form Kickoff to Comercial launch and a 4x network growth in the next 1 year. The work involved massive excel work over complex files to plan and control deployment of several different work packages since Radio Access and/or Microwave Transmission Site definition (ERBs/TX) passing to Real state acquisition, Regulatory licenses, Civil Works, Tower, Equipment Installation, commissioning, acceptance and network integration. Massive Communication activities from periodic reviews and roll-out meeting sessions to War room operation to assure contract scope and costs to meet agreed schedules with quality. At that time have developed a standard Roll-out spread sheet in Excel which was adopted countrywide to control project deployment in 9 regions and 28 states. It had around 20 linked work-packages, of thousands of network elements that could the be consistently consolidated centrally at national level in a database for advancement and performance measurements and control.
