  My senior court appearances include a challenge to the Electoral Finance Act, representing a consumer organisation in appeals against the Commerce Commission’s input methodologies for regulated suppliers; judicial review applications by victims of crime against the Parole Board and name suppression orders. I also regularly act in professional disciplinary matters and appear in coronial proceedings, particularly ones involving inquiries into the conduct of public institutions. Other work includes:~ advice and advocacy on public and regulatory matters, competition, consumer, privacy and human rights law; ~ advice and advocacy on professional disciplinary issues; ~ advice to public sector clients on the public funding of regulatory services;~ an Independent Evaluation of the Canadian Ombudsman for Banking Services and Investments’ (OBSI) Investment Mandate (with Deborah Battell) – May 2016;~ advice and advocacy for electricity consumer clients on input methodologies, price-quality and transmission pricing methodologies;~ advice and input into criminal justice policy from perspective of victims, survivors and witnesses;~ mediation, negotiation and other dispute resolution mechanisms.
