  • Experience

    • Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California

      May 2019 - now

My research involves the use of interactive software applications to analyze multimodal data. I perform segmentation of white matter on MRI scans to identify biomarkers of epileptogenesis and I use COVID-19 data to investigate infection quantification methods.

      ExploreCSR Computational Media Intelligence Workshop

I attended a series of workshops on media intelligence hosted by mentors from USC Signal Analysis and Interpretation Laboratory (SAIL). My team and I conducted research using machine learning tools to understand individual movie elements and similarities across genres. We implemented an object detector to run a frame-wise object detector(Retinanet 101) and save bbox info, a face detector + gender classifier to obtain face bbox and compute gender class for each box, a frame-level color palette extractor to choose frame and cluster pixel data by kmeans, create histogram of relative color frequency, the output is color bar graph sorted by the centroid, ambient lightning extractor to extract pixel values in LAB color space and average per frame, and a metadata extraction to extract box office data from Box Office Mojo. For the hackathon at the end of the workshop series, I worked with a team of other participants to prepare a presentation of the research. Show less
