      Three month position to assess insecticide resistance in Anopheles mosquitoes at several sites in Tanzania. Supervised several small teams in collecting mosquitoes and performing laboratory assays. Gained experience in supervising and training staff, laboratory assays, writing standard operating procedures and the collection and identification of mosquitoes.

      USAID funded cluster randomised trial evaluating insecticide treated wall lining (ITWL) as a method of malaria vector control in several sites in Tanzania. Coordinated and supervised the trial’s entomological activities. Organised and assisted with laboratory assays and routine entomological surveillance to monitor insecticide resistance and to evaluate the efficacy of the ITWL. Involved in data analysis and dissemination. Regularly contributed to reports for the funder and other stakeholders, writing scientific publications, and presented findings at meetings and at the Annual Meeting of the American Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene in 2016. The senior coordinator for the MRC UKRI funded Cambridge Programme to Assist Bangladesh in Lifestyle and Environmental Risk Reduction (CAPABLE).
