My responsibilities include teaching common core state standards using visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learning techniques and 21st century technology to encourage and support my group of diverse learners.Daily in my classroom, students are exposed to learning through technology with Seesaw, iReady, Nearpod, and certified learning games. In addition, my students learn through the use of GLAD strategies, thinking maps, movement songs, Powerpoint presentations with photographs and other visuals. I encourage my students to learn through "teamwork." They work together to talk through their thoughts, share ideas, guide their friends who need extra support, and rely on their confidence to "take chances" and try their best. My students grow into 21st century learners and are the most prepared for 1st grade at the end of the year. Show less
