I worked on creating sustainable, scalable and socially aligned business models for women in the village in order to address the issue of female unemployment and inequality.The entry process to become a Team Leader is a competitive one which involved comprehensive training in leadership under pressure, project management, self-leadership and team building and facilitation. As a team leader, it was important to harness trust, expand each team members understanding of their capacity to achieve, support their knowledge and encourage their contribution to our social development project in India but also at home or abroad. I was responsible for the project’s success, the physical and mental wellbeing of each member, regularly debriefing team members, taking care of administration, budgeting, logistics and planning. In my role with 40K GLOBE, working in India twice, I have been exposed to many aspects of business, such as creating partnerships and trust with governmental stakeholders and alumni, researching market behaviours and strategic planning under tough rural conditions.   Interning with the British Department of International Trade involved working in their investment team to help drive the UK Government's support for international business. I contributed to the delivery of commercial research, particularly for the AI and VR/AR tech sectors and helped to expand the pipeline of clients within the trade and investment team. I also participated in the political work of the department and industry event organisation and representation, giving me a wider view of government representations overseas and the work of diplomatic missions.
