  Sungard Availability Services (AS) is a global leader in business continuity service delivery providing availability and business solutions designed to meet the specific requirements of their clients. Sungard services include Managed IT, Managed Hosting, Managed Recovery, Business Continuity Planning, Network and Infrastructure connectivity, and Consultancy services. As Principle Recovery Solutions Architect I am part of the company’s Global Managed Recovery Programme (MRP) leadership team. MRP provides complete business continuity planning, service development, and life cycle management which integrates AS recovery and business services to the client production environment. I lead and manage a team of Recovery Solutions Architects (RSAs) and Platform Architects (PAs). The Recovery Solution Architect (RSA) is responsible for working with Sungard clients in a collaborative and consultative manner to develop, document and implement complex DR solutions. The PA role provides expert technical support in their respective platform or application specific area. As Principle RSA I also manage more complex and key client accounts. The role is very customer facing and involves working directly with all levels within each client business area. This includes senior business strategic management, IT and BCP management, and customer technical teams. Key accounts that I am responsible for come from all areas of business including, financial institutions, manufacturing, and government organisations.The role requires management and co-ordination with internal Sungard areas and teams to deliver customer expectations and objectives.
