  Collected and analyzed localized data on tobacco use rates from secondary data sources, created outreach materials using advanced programming for GIS mapping, and created outreach materials on the impact of local tobacco use, specifically among youth. Additionally, spend time studying local council actions to aid in passing Tobacco Retail Licensing Ordinance within Kent, applying public health knowledge in a legislative setting.

  The Medcare Center is a facility that provides preventative and urgent care. During my time there as a medical assistant and lab assistant, I had the opportunity to work alongside physician assistants, nurses, and physicians, and see their line of work firsthand. Additionally, I was able to master many basic skills such as blood drawing, extensive patient care experience, and understanding an array of preventative tests/examinations.
