My presentation was amongst others offered by master students and PhD candidates. • Event #3 ‘站台(Platform)’: Presentation on the history of China from 1949 to approximately 2008, covering subjects such as domestic politics, international relations, economics and society in China during that time period based on the documentary screening of '站台 (Platform)' by Jia Zhangke.• Event #4 ‘Entrepreneurship in China': the history, politics and macroeconomics behind it’: Moderator during a panel discussion led by guest speakers from McGill and Concordia universities on the entrepreneurial environment in China. • Event #5 ‘Century of Humiliation’: Presentation of an analysis of Victor Hugo’s Letter to Captain Butler concerning the French and British destruction of the Summer Palace in Beijing followed by the documentary screening of 'China’s Century of Humiliation' by Mitch Anderson.
