  I have great memories of working at BrasFELS. As part of the R&D team formed under the umbrella of the consortium ƒKN (FloaTEC, Keppel and NUS), I conducted an analytical, numerical and experimental analysis of floating structures. We focused on real operations to find practical solutions to meet the challenges of deep-water developments in Brazil.I had the opportunity to work on some key areas of research, including:• Experimental studies of vortex-induced motion (VIM) on TLPs and Semisubmersibles.• Experimental studies of current loads and shielding effects on multibody systems.• Numerical analyses of low and high-frequency wave loads on single and multibody systems.• Development of analytical tools to model marine and offshore operations.Throughout this journey, I consolidated my knowledge on hydrodynamics and ocean engineering, specializing in programming languages such as Python, MATLAB and Excel VBA. The development of bespoke routines helped us process large amounts of data, which was fundamental to the achievement of our research objectives.Finally, I had the opportunity to receive training on industry-standard third-party software including:• 3D modeling/printing tools: AutoCAD and SolidWorks.• Floating structure analysis tools: MaxSurf, Wamit, SeSam, Hydrostar, Ariane and Orcaflex.• Computer Fluid Dynamics tools: ICEM, Pointwise, Ansys CFX and Star-CCM+.I used these tools extensively as they were fundamental in performing my evaluations of many cases/scenarios, which had varying boundary conditions, in a time efficient manner.   I collaborated and learned from the very talented and experienced engineers at the Deepwater department of the Keppel Offshore & Marine Technology Centre (KOMTech). My work focused on three key aspects of a multibody system, which is composed of the Tension Leg Platform (TLP) and the Tender Assisted Drilling (TAD). • Dynamics in harsh environments and ultra-deep waters.• Seakeeping and Hydrodynamic Analyses of the TLP and TAD system. • Coupled mooring arrangements between TLP and TAD, including hawser, yoke, arm and semi-rigid connections.   At FloaTEC, I had the opportunity to collaborate with people of different nationalities and backgrounds, including teams from McDermott and Keppel. Here I met some of the most experienced engineers that I have ever worked with. During this period, I focused on two very challenging and unique topics.• Geometry optimization of floaters using Computational Fluid Dynamics • Numerical modeling of Wet-tow and Dry-tow offshore operations.

  Working at the Keppel Offshore & Marine Technology Centre (KOMtech) was one of the most enriching experiences of my life. I loved the working environment as the people were kind, helpful and highly experienced and the projects constantly challenged us in different ways. The areas that I enjoyed the most were:Design of the Low Motion Semisubmersible (LMS), a concept especially developed for ultra-deep waters and harsher environments. The LMS was designed in a way that could be easily adapted for drilling and production operations. Feasibility studies for Tension Leg Platform (TLP) for offshore Vietnam, including both hydrostatic and hydrodynamic analyses, as well as mooring calculations.   As a Deputy Manager at the Digital Solutions Team of Keppel Technology & Innovation, I led digital transformation projects and worked closely with Business Units, Corporate Strategy and Group IT to deliver holistic outcomes. I engaged business divisions to identify the best-fitting applications for different technologies such as BI, ML, AI and IoT. The end-to-end process from discovery to implementation included aligning stakeholders, developing business cases, performing technology landscape analyses to identify best-in-class solutions, managing and supporting PoCs, and scaling projects for large production rollouts.My team analyzed, documented, re-designed and implemented end-to-end processes, increasing efficiency through simplification and automation.I deployed the best-in-class performance visibility dashboards with multiple data sources and visualization layers. Statistical analyses and ML algorithms were used to support data-driven decisions across the Keppel Ecosystem. Finally, I developed new technical skills in a time-efficient manner, which I could apply to real business problems and also use to create awareness, conduct workshops for lay people, and train business experts. Exibir menos I started my journey in digital technology innovation at Keppel Technology & Innovation, focusing on digitalization, data analytics and artificial intelligence. By listening and documenting user-pain points/requirements, looking for the most effective solutions and ensuring implementations met the user's expectations, I provided practical solutions to business problems across the Keppel Ecosystem. The work environment was great, always challenging us to learn new skills with practical applications. I led the training and mentoring of over 200 Keppelites on Business Analytics and Microsoft Power BI.As a Data Scientist, I deployed best-in-class performance visibility dashboards with multiple data sources. My team led the adoption of BI tools such as Power BI on multiple BUs within the Keppel Ecosystem, including Keppel Offshore & Marine, Keppel Capital, Keppel Infrastructure and Keppel Logistics. As the AI team leader, I had the opportunity to work on the delivery of end-to-end off-the-shelf and bespoke third-party solutions, as well as in-house AI-powered Apps using NLP, Speech Recognition, Computer Vision and ML.Throughout this period, I consolidated my knowledge on Data Science, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence.   As a Data Scientist and Senior Engineer at Real Marine & Offshore (RMO), I have the great opportunity of applying all the skills and knowledge I have acquired throughout my professional career to real-life problems which have a high business impact. As a Data Scientist I lead digital & innovation projects, applying data analytics, statistical analyses, and machine learning models to provide data-driven insights that assist customers’ business decisions. I also oversee the data to insights end-to-end process: data mining, ETL, development of statistical/ML models and the creation of best-in-class dashboards/reports.As a Senior Engineer, I provide technical advice for feasibility and conceptual studies, hydrostatic and hydrodynamic analyses, DP capability and BP calculations, mooring system analyses and both Marine and Offshore operation modeling.
