      As an NAB Liaison I:• Help manage the operations of a subset of the boards, assigned by borough or number;• Continue and create relationships with the volunteer members of the assigned boards;• Recruit members for their boards; schedule meetings and arrange meeting space with their assigned board;• Liaise with local community organizations, community boards and elected officials offices in the NAB district;• Maintain the records of activity for each member and each board using the DYCD electronic database,as well as hard files;• Assist in unit wide initiatives such as public events like street fairs, community forums, the annual Night Out Against Crime and similar community activities;• Help in the agency efforts to determine services needs through the implementation of the periodic Community Needs Assessment, involving street surveys and public hearings;• Prepare evaluation reports by utilizing information obtained from personal observation/ review/ program plans, in order to provide a written record of community services activities;• Make recommendations on policies/procedures by analyzing current systems/program objectives/ researching alternative methods of design/ implementation of program, in order to improve delivery of services/ flow of work. Show less As a contract manager I:• Perform site visits using the Program Quality Monitoring Tool and share feedback with CBO contract providers• Review and approve program plans and budgets• Analyze and evaluate program data in Capricorn (DYCD’s web-based program management system), contract performance reports as well as agency audits and fiscal documents to ensure contract compliance• Provide technical assistance and direct corrective action for under-performing CBO contractors• Participate in contract negotiations• Provide technical expertise to contractors in the development of contracts and contract/budget modifications or amendments• Evaluate contract performance reports; make summary reports to higher administrative levels along with recommendations to improve contractor performance• Make final evaluation of contract performance at expiration of contract• Coordinate provider meetings• Manage the membership and meetings of a set of local NABs (may include weekends and evenings)• Partner with NAB unit on recruitment, community events and outreach efforts• Maintain working files of member records and meeting/Board activities• Performs other duties as assigned or directed.
