  As an undergraduate big data researcher, I was given the chance to work on different projects that allowed me to learn different concepts of machine learning by using different models (decision tree, linear regression, etc). My work comprised of:• Built different machine learning models to support different project.• Wrote reports for research to be graded under the course IS 400. One of the first scholars in the budding Data8 program curated by UMBC in collaboration with UC Berkeley. As a scholar, I divided my time dedicated to the venture two ways:• Tutor and mentor potential new scholars and students participating in the UMBC Data8 program.• Discuss growth plans and ideas with other existing Data8 programs and their members.• With my peers, help with the foundational aspects of building the Data8 program at UMBC.

  As the sole research analyst at the company at the time, I primarily worked on creating a database from converting and cleaning data from numerous excel files to presentable trends to help different clinics extend their reach and allowed the company make executive decisions on it's existing and future contracts. My work comprised of:• Conducted qualitative analysis on data pulled from SPARS to discover trends and develop new quarterly goals for clinics under SAMHSA grants.• Quantified qualitative data sets.• Prepared infographics and presentations (using Tableau and Power BI) to aid clinics in management decision making.• Built relational databases for the company’s proprietary information.• Executed administrative work for projects such as meeting minutes.
