    • University of Leeds

      Sept 2011 - May 2012

Part of a group of 3 student selected from the Faculty of Arts who were charged with the challenge of making Leeds students more employable. We identified then tackled the issue of a chronic lack of employability support offered to students studying lesser spoken languages. To remedy this we used our limited budget to organise a large networking event aimed specifically at the lesser spoken languages. It was a real success with over 50 students and a dozen employers and alumni who came to share their experiences and career paths with the current students. In addition to this event I established relationships with alumni and companies with links to the university via telephone and in person, and conducted and edited interviews with alumni. Show less
