  Secretly Gnoming Productions is a small group I confounded with a friend. We crochet stuffed animals and sell them at art fairs, conventions, and by commission.

  Exhibit Education Intern

  I worked at the Florida Aquarium in Tampa as an Exhibit Education intern for the past two summers (2013 and 2014). During my internship I educated visitors about our oceans and the animals that live in them, through the three touch tanks located through out the aquarium. I also helped run special events and trained new volunteers.

  I worked with customers to make sure that they had a positive shopping experience. I worked the cash registers, cut fabric at the cutting counter, and helped train new team members at these stations. I helped to open, close, and restock the store to make sure that it was running smoothly.

  I worked aboard the research vessel, R/V Robert G. Brownlee, conducting research while teaching students about the marine life in San Francisco Bay. Duties on board included: - Recording data on local salinities, plankton, and fish species. Along with measuring and tagging shark species. - Boat and fishing net (Otter Trawl) operations and safety.Other work included: - Extensive experience in fish, shark, and ray handling and husbandry.- Bringing animals and artifacts to schools, fairs, and other public events.- Leading students on tide pool walks and marsh explorations.   Graduate Student

  Received my Professional Science Master's in Fish and Wildlife Administration with a focus on sustainable aquaculture production. As part of my studies I worked at OSU's Hatfield Marine Science Center (Newport, OR) helping with dulse cultivation research. During the Fall of 2023, I designed, constructed, and tested an aeroponics system for growing dulse; and that work has now been published in the World Aquaculture Society March 2023 issue.
