  My research is focussed on the role of advanced digital technologies, such as Artificial Intelligence, Distributed Ledger Technology and Cyberphysical systems in the transition to a sustainable circular economy. I study the challenges and opportunities of such technologies in accelerating drivers and overcoming barriers to circularity, and develop demonstrators to showcase and evaluate the potential of emerging applications at the intersection of digitalisation and sustainability. The research… Show more My research is focussed on the role of advanced digital technologies, such as Artificial Intelligence, Distributed Ledger Technology and Cyberphysical systems in the transition to a sustainable circular economy. I study the challenges and opportunities of such technologies in accelerating drivers and overcoming barriers to circularity, and develop demonstrators to showcase and evaluate the potential of emerging applications at the intersection of digitalisation and sustainability. The research is supervised by an interdisciplinary team of senior academics, including Prof. Christopher Tucci from Imperial College Business School, Prof. Nick Voulvoulis from the Center for Environmental Policy, as well as Prof. Robert Shorten from the School of Design Engineering. Some of their proudest work includes concepualising the NIO electric vehicle brand. I had the pleasure of working on diverse range of creative and research projects for global companies like IHG, Deutsche Bank, Logitech, First Group. If you take a train from London to Edinburgh, you might sit in a seat I helped develop.

  During the first year of my master's education, i continued to support the TG0 team with R&D related tasks. TGO is a London-based tech company holding several patents that allow the cost effective integration of capacitive sensing into plastics. I had the pleasure of being embedded in an interdisciplinary R&D team, both as a hands-on design engineer, as well as a project manager for international client projects which typically moved from concept to test-batch production stage.

- Climate-focussed startup ventures

  Co-Founder
  I was involved in several climate-tech ventures as co-founder. One was focussed on vertical farming technology, the other on agricultural carbon markets. These ventures have won and received grant funding and business support from a number of institutions in the climate and entrepreneurship ecosystem in London, including Imperial's Venture Catalyst Challenge (VCC), the Terra Carta Design Lab, and the Grantham Center for Climate Change and the Environment, backed by the Royal Institution and funded by HSBC and the Major of London. Further, they led to the development of novel technologies, such as automation technologies for vertical microfarms, or distributed-ledger based dynamic carbon certificates. Show less
