  Natural Resource Steward

  As Natural Resource Stewards, we mainly monitored assigned Wildlife Management Areas for such things as invasive organisms, wildlife, rule violations, as well as any changes in ecosystem conditions, all while cleaning up any refuse. We also assisted with monitoring and banding endangered Piping Plovers, completing restoration projects, and educating the public about the various ecosystems and their importance.

  As an education intern my main focus was to interpret ecological topics regarding a variety of environments and animals. doing so through a variety of presentation methods.   As an environmental educator my main goal is to inspire those that attend our programs to at the very least spend more time outside and at the very most connect with, and therefore take steps to lessen their impacts on, the natural environment. Programs include anything from hikes, ambassador animal presentations, school programming, and everything in between.

  Landscape Install Technician

  Primarily, I work with our installation crew installing hardscapes, grading soil, mulching flower beds, and creating pollinator habitat by planting and seeding with mostly native trees, shrubs, and perennials. Occasionally, I assist with our maintenance crew as well with maintaining flower beds and meadows, managing invasive species, and maintaining plant health through trimming, pruning, watering, and replacement.
