      As former president of the Florida Geophysical Society, I promoted interest and knowledge in geophysics and related sciences among this large student organization (upwards of 50 members). We organized monthly meetings featuring exploration geoscience presentations and discussions, and encouraged student attendance at industry short courses and SEG Student Expos. Our society had affiliations with the Society of Exploration Geophysicists and the Department of Geological Sciences at the University of Florida.
