  - Leading the development and implementation, according to department plans, of a comprehensive Health, Safety and Environment Program.- Planning and leading complex Technical Meetings in the area of safety assessment, including proposing a subject, preparing the scope, selecting participants, coordinating the preparation of reports to produce documents e.g. safety standards, guidelines, technical documents etc.- Planning, implementing, leading and participating in complex safety review missions and safety assessment review services and the assessment of departments and projects' needs- Controlling rather than avoiding risks associated with the marine industry- Advising concerned parties on appropriate protocols and requirements- Ensuring regulatory reporting is in accordance with requirements- Leading organizational effectiveness and relationship management- Analyses needs, develops strategies and implements improvements- Championing team spirit cohesiveness, motivation and commitment to continuous quality environment, treating people with respect and trust.- Using personal initiative, multi-tasking work of competing priorities and takes action- Assisting in the installation of safety equipment and appliances on new shipbuilding projects (Tug boats, supply vessels, crew boats)- Implementing Permit-to-Work controls, Hot-Work permits and Gas-Free permits- Implementation of Lock Out-Tag out systems.- Implementation of Internal permit systems: Hot work permits, confined space entry permits, working at height permits, hydro blasting permits and heavy lifting operation permits. - Conducting evacuation drill and emergency response.- Examples of ship repair projects contributed in: US Navy vessels in Jebel Ali, Big Orange (owned by Schlumberger), Sanford Marine vessels, Maersk cargo ships in Jebel Ali- Examples of ship building projects contributed in: KOC (Kuwait Oil Company) vessels, Halul offshore, Bourbon offshore vessels, Stanford Marine vessels.
