Road & railway geometric & pavement design

-Supported the pavement group in developing pavement management plans for small and large cities.-Involved in road geometric and pavement design for an industrial plant, resulting in the successful design and construction of the project for the largest iron ore production facility in Iran (Gol-E-Gohar). As a result, the design team was awarded a second contract for a second plant.-Gained experience through contracted projects. Most projects required an initial grading plan, design of roadways for longitudinal and vertical profiles, detailed corridor making, cross-sections, and also typical cross-sections showing areas in the vicinity of roads (right-of-way area), retaining walls, and finally parking and green space designs according to the industry design standards (AASHTO, etc.). Graduate research and teaching assistant

-My research focus is on pavement preservation. DOTs are constantly looking for ways to find innovative, low cost solutions for their pavement preservation needs. In one of the biggest experiments to this date, several pavement preventive treatments were laid out in open roads for performance monitoring and evaluation. Creating stochastic models for the oldest of these sections were my responsibility. Web developer / data engineer

      - Developing a pavement management system web application. This web application has the following features/components. o Django is used as the backend to handle engineering logico Django-tenants used to create multi-tenancy so each client has its own domain and schemao Postgres used as the database. Django-tenant used with one database and several schemas to store client datao Leaflet used to generate maps, showing streets with different attributes such as distress ratingo CSS and bootstrap are used for stylingo JavaScript is used at the client-side, along with Django templateo AJAX calls are used for asynchronous retrieval of data from Django views- Assisted in development of a CRM for cell phone repair shops (currently in use)o Written using PHP (XAMPP)o Connected to Twilio and MobileSentrix through API for client messaging and search parts and orders, respectivelyo Created crawling to get essential phone information from GMSArena- Created a personal blog to organize my resume informationo Django is used as the backend to handle the routing logico A simple database in Postgres designed to represent various parts of a typical resume with different tables and relationshipso Nginx used as the reverse proxy server, and Gunicorn used as the WSGI to run the Django application o The Django application deployed on DigitalOcean with a Linux-based deployment Show less
