  Worked with a team of PhD students on a research project concerning a Molten Regolith Electrolysis Reactor. I played a critical role in our experimentation -- testing the corrosive properties of molten lunar regolith simulant on various refractory materials -- as I designed and fabricated housings that held the refractory rods partially submerged in the melt. These housings had to be capable of withstanding the 3000 degree F furnace for the duration of our tests.The first housing I developed held 6 refractory rods stationary inside the melt for two, one-hour tests.The second housing only needed to hold two rods but was required to spin them at over 100 RPM for two shorter tests.
