      Got started in coaching by helping coach summer camps for age groups 6 to 8 years old. The camps were run by one or two adult coaches, and myself and other kids my age (around 12 years old) helped run the stations and games. Eventually moved up to also coach ages 9 to 14 in small group camps. Also coached semi-private for ages 12 to 14. All coaching required group management skills, as well as setting up and taking down stations, running different exercises for warming up, stretching, and having the kids practice different playing techniques. Camps required seeing over games and making sure that players followed the rules, kept score properly, and had fun. Show less
