      Activities and Societies: Class Representative for 'Religion, Politics and Philosophy in Early Modern English'. Rock Climbing, Spoken Word Poetry, Music (writing and performing) Most of my time at Glasgow University was spent studying important socio-political movements, from the early modern to the post-modern, through a range of fictional and theoretical texts. During my honours year, I studied creative writing. I focused mainly on flash fiction, poetry and prose, and wrote a 10,000 word prose piece for my dissertation; there's a little chapter of that below if you fancy a look.

      After high school, I worked here full time. I was quickly promoted to Crew Trainer, Kitchen Manager, then Shift Manager. I gained valuable experience in people management, financial procedures, and the general coordination required to run a large franchise.

      I worked in a large, central branch of Costa during university. While there, I was a regional Barista of the Year finalist. A colleague and I also coordinated and hosted regular open mic nights for the Costa Foundation, raising over £1300 for the MS society.

      I helped open a brand new store in Glasgow city centre. Working in a new, slightly smaller, store presented new challenges. Namely, managing time and resources of a smaller staff, and trying to build a reliable client base.
