Following the strict ethos of any Grammar school I was able to mature into a work hungry individual with the discipline required to take into any place of work.

      Industrial Placement - Project Control Analyst

      As a member of the Cross Platform Services Team located in the infrastructure services of CSC I gained an insight into all technologies that CSC provide to their clients. These technologies range from classical examples like Mainframe, Wintel and Midrange to the more contemporary technologies like Cloud and Virtual Hosting.The role allowed me to work with a vast array of commercial and public clients most notably BAE, NHS, Royal Mail, Network Rail and Civil Nuclear Authorities.Some of the most prominent responsibilities and duties in my job role included:- Queue Management: for level 2 break fox support.- Storage Quotes: Allocating space and price to clients wanting to use CSC data centre space. - Server Acceptance: Coordinating the commissioning, decommissioning and P2V of servers. - Young Talent at CSC: Streamlining of the apprenticeship programme and aid in continual recruitment.- Heartbleed Remediation Programme: To ensure all CSC managed devices for all clients, vendors and GDN's were remediated from the harmful virus known as Heartbleed.- Maintenance Manager Training: Delivered training session to CSC's global community to help reduce incident tickets and server utilisation spikes during busy times of patching, changes or maintenance. - Cloud Support RACI: Developed a RACI chart to help outline the responsibilities of a yet to be created support team in the Nordics region. My duties now surpassed those that were ITIL bound and encompassed financial responsibilities, up-sell, people management while still maintaining aspects of the technical details during tech deep dives, IT service restorations and architectural reviews.
