I am currently completing one day’s work as a Governance Manager for Expenses and four days of work seconded to a project management team of four working for Claims as an Expense Analyst. My key responsibilities are: - Chair the recruitment and pay increase committee to ensure all inputs are considered from across the business and the request fit into AXA's future strategy- To ensure that costs are accurately tracked and reported monthly to ensure that any overspend does not take place. - To ensure that benefits are realised by the Expense and Finance team so this can be reported on. - To build packs to be shared with Key stakeholders and key members of Claims to discuss an up-to-date view, highlight any risks, and offer planned solutions. This takes place across weekly, fortnightly, and monthly meetings- To work as a close team and to draw on each other’s key strength and areas of expertise to ensure a task or deadline is met Show less My role was to ensure Claims spend on Staff remained on track to the model projected by Workforce Planning and built into Forecast by the Claims Expense team. I worked with Anaplan for Forecast building and SAP to monitor and report on annual/monthly actual vs budget positions. My tracker was created on Excel and a summarised version was reported to my Expense Manager and my Finance Business partner.Upskilled on the company recruitment tool - Yes Recruit. Delivered a training pack for hiring managers to follow when completing the request for new staff members.I Chaired weekly Authority to Recruit/Increase (ATR/ATI) meetings to discuss recruitment and pay increases within Claims. Key attendees would be Finance, HR, Resourcing, Risk/Fraud/Complaints, Expense, Workforce planning, and the Claims Director. Show less I worked in a fast-paced call centre environment logging travel claims and reviewing supporting customer documentation until I could decide on accepting or rejecting the claim. This required me to be empathetic throughout interactions with the customer and pragmatic in assessing the claim and driving it to a conclusion. During this time, I was required to engage with other areas of the travel Claims business such as; Claims Recoveries, where we could share cost of the Claims with other insurers, Claims Fraud, where we believed part/all of a claim to require further investigating, Quality and Control, where our decision to pay or reject a claim were reviewed and our calls with customers where quality checked, AXA Emergency and Assistance team, where customers had returned to the UK and received assistance from AXA whilst they were abroad for medical bills. I completed the AXA Claims talent programme that ran from 2017 – 2018 where I was given access to a mentor and the focus was on providing me with expose to senior members of AXA Claims outside of travel. Some of the courses included were projecting a positive image, approaching situations with confidence, Interview skills and tips, on the job learning with Claims Change and Claims Workforce planning.
