Oversee more than $50 million in utility assistance payments to 200,000 customers annually. Forge alliances with like-minded organizations to improve the self-sufficiency of low-income customers through job training, education, tax credits and other asset-building programs. Advocate to Congress for utility bill payment assistance funds and work to ensure the effective use of federal funds in Entergy’s service area. Show less

      2014 Best Economic Empowerment Program U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation Nov 2014 Entergy was recognized by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation for helping low-income customers along the path to economic self-sufficiency through the company’s Super Tax Day program. The program has resulted in $100 million in federal Earned Income Tax Credit to approximately 58,000 customers since 2009.
