  The Loan Management Unit (LMU) are responsible for the credit management of a portfolio of HSBC's relationships identified as having a hgh risk of loss and/or a high level of commercial sensitivity, with a view to maximising recoveries and optimising income whilst protecting the Bank's reputation. The portfolio will include relationships that are multi banked and may be domicilied overseas. LMU also provide strategic input to other departments in HBEU with the aim of early identification of difficult situations.My time with the Bank involved 12 months in Canary Wharf, assisting the Bank with customers with debt levels between £5m and £20m and one month based in the Midlands working with Invoice Finance, Equipment Finance, the Distressed Real Estate Team and the Loan Management Team responsible for high risk customers with up to £5m of debt.
