      The UNC Office of Sponsored Research (OSR) serves as the official institutional signatory for grants, contracts, and cooperative agreements, Teaming Agreements, and CDA's and negotiates and administers agreements of behalf of the University for approximately a billion dollars worth of research funding. My team of five (5) Sponsored Project Specialists provides support for the School of Public Health, overseeing approximately a third of all UNC's externally funded grant dollars. In my role as manager, I provide management, leadership, training, and oversight for my team.Job duties include providing review and authorization of proposal submissions, monitor institutional compliance with terms and conditions of grants and contrast, as well as compliance with Federal and State regulations, budgeting of expenditures, seeking sponsor prior approval for revisions to awards, and issuance of subcontracts (pre-award and non-financial post-award). I also have delegated authority to negotiate and provide signatures to grants, contracts and other non-financial agreements for my team.
