      Work performed at the ALICE experiment at the LHC Collider. My thesis revolved around measuring charged particle mulitplicity distribution over an unprecedented pseudorapidity range with the Forward Multiplicity Detector and the Inner Tracking System. Furthermore the results were used to investigate universal scaling laws, particularly the KNO scaling, and the breaking of it at high energies.
