Taking food and drink orders Clearing and relaying tablesClosing down the restaurantServing food and drink to tablesMaking and serving drinks behind the barWhilst working here I was able to work on the bar, and was taught how to pull a pint of ale and lager correctly and learnt the correct measures of certain drinks and how to make different drinks. Due to my aptitude of running the restaurant, the managers asked if I would run the restaurant for them for three weeks whilst on their honeymoon. I therefore had to make sure that the restaurant was set up prior to service and inform the waitresses/waiters about the bookings and run through the menu with them. Show less

My achievements since being at Fidessa as Assistant Manager:- Being left in charge to solely run the Woking site since June this year.- Looked to recruit new staff members- Put in place new procedures such as the staff rota/the way the staff conduct their daily duties, which has made a huge difference to the efficiency of the way the cafe is run - During my time running the Woking site I have achieved over £1000 worth of extra sales compared to the budget- Saved over £1200 on labour costs within the month of August during a very stagnant and difficult staffing period- I have also been heavily involved in the recruitment of 3/5 new members of staff from Front of house to Kitchen Porter and Chef de Partie - Assisting in the weekly menu planning & monthly promotions on site for both London & Woking- Guided and shown my staff ways to reduce wastage, which has all helped in achieving a healthy GP month on month against the budget Show less For the first 3 months of the Lexington graduate program I am currently in a FOH Supervisor position at SAB Miller in Woking. I ensure the FOH runs smoothly, making sure food is put out on time and ensuring it is kept refreshed and topped up where necessary. Whilst working at SAB Miller I have created a HR folder for new Lexington employees, updated and reintroduced cleaning schedules into each area of the business (bar, café, kitchen, hospitality) and completed food costing's for the head chef as well as support the Assistant Manager by completing invoicing, banking and stock taking. After completing my first 3months in SAB Miller I have now moved sites and cater for Skadden, an international law firm. My role here is as Assistant Manager working along side the Catering Manager, assisting with the day-to-day running of the Café and ensuring the hospitality department runs smoothly ensuring communication between reception and the kitchen is 100% effective. I also keep on top of the stock taking, invoicing, recharging of the hospitality to the client and being a main point of contact for any new hospitality bookings, ensuring the Chefs are kept up to date and fully informed of any new catering needs.
