  In this role, I oversaw a team of technicians and finance personnel, and helped work with the management to migrate from the old ledger book system to a realtime access online microfinance system. We were able to thus streamline data storage, sharing, and access thus cutting down on human intervention in awarding loans, keeping client profiles and tracking loan repayment.

  Under the GDG, GDSC Egerton Chapter, I mentored a group of 20 students in the Cyber Security track, where I exposed them to the basics of security and the Kenyan Law on Data and Privacy. I was able to gauge their growth by offering assessments and feedback on this track, and helpiing them learn and hone their skill in this track, as one of the community's major pillars.

  This role entailed recovering from, mitigating against cyber attacks, training staff and designing secure hardware and software architecture to ensure digital assets security for the client. Working with the IT team, I was been able to recover from varous levels of attacks, mitigate against a re-occurrence and designed secure physical infrastructure to go hand in hand with the set policies. I actively offered hands on training on use of pentesting tools, firewall configurations and archtecture implementation to the IT staff, to ensure proper functions in web apps, mailing clients, cloud storage and television live streams.
