Conducted emergency exercises: Plant, Site & Off-site.• Prepared event reports under IAEA Incident Reporting System. • Led a team of 45 personnel including 13 engineers and 32 operators.• Managed training activities for operators and trainee engineers and facilities in the organization’s Training Centre. • Spearheaded regulatory affairs related to NPP operation with the Nuclear Regulator - AERB. • Promptly analyzed complex process problems and led my team in successfully handling 13 off-normal operational events• Carried out internal technical audit of different sections of operating NPP.• Spearheaded preparation of entire gamut of procedures for NPP operation• Strategized/led year-long preparation of Operation Section of NPP for its review by WANO reviewers.• Led a team of 20 members and managed a significant part of NPP project (in critical path) of INR 25 billion and its commissioning (Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation & Control aspects).• Conducted important commissioning tests following first time startup of the power plant.• Managed regulatory affairs, procurements and contracts related to projects and commissioning.• Devised a scheme for simulating an accident scenario for commissioning test of a nuclear safety system.• Assigned with a part of rehabilitation project following a serious fire incident in the plant (NAPS)• Devised and executed, after detailed analysis, a modified method of reactor coolant system pressurization for NPP start up.• Led successful field operation that was crucial to reactor safety during the fire incident (INES Level-3 event).
